Houston, Texas. He'd been here a dozen times over already, but he could never shake that weird feeling he got when they landed

God damn, Tommy... where the hell are all the mountains? It's flatter than Denise Durten out here...

Levi, along with his friend D, started to laugh. D even spoke up, cause he's nice like that

Ahh, Taylor... so nice to see you've still got that wit. It's been starting to worry the others; Tyler Durten's even pointed out that it's kind of weird how you went from a JerkOff to the AntiChrist so quickly...

Yeah, but D, you're forgetting; Tyler Durten is a complete idiot

Yeah dude... he HELLA is!

There was Kid Punk, finally leaving the plane. They gathered about the baggage claim; Nyte Ryda and Cliff had stayed home the last few days, so they obviously weren't at the airport. Ditto Habachi, who had stayed at Cliff's as well. Finally, the luggage came, and Punk, Dawkins, Levi, and D headed towards the parking lot, in hopes of getting a cab... at least, that's what they thought

Hey, Punk, do me a favor. Take my bags with you, bring 'em to the hotel, and wait. I'ma, gonna walk around town

Are you serious? It's frickin six in the morning! You've GOT to be tired, considering it's really four our time... get some frickin sleep

No, I'll be alright. There's never any rest for the wicked

Levi looked over, and, after being whispered to by D, nodded

Hey Taylor, I don't think it's such a good idea that you, Mister Talk As Much Shit About Texas as Possible, walk around Houston by yourself. D's gonna come with you

He nodded

Fair enough. Punkeriffic, Thomas Aaron, I'll see you sluts later. D, let's go... we's got some catching up to do...

Punk didn't seem to have taken a liking to the quote unquote NEW Dawkins, and it showed as he scoffed while the cab drove away, leaving D, and the AC

You know, Taylor, I've been waiting to talk to you one on one. It's been a while, no?

It sure has. What have you been up to? Besides, of course, taking Levi?

Well, you know me... I'm here and I'm there, really. But I've been paying real close attention to you as of late. I mean, it's not a big coincidence that shortly after I was entrusted with the future of Levi, that YOU were being bludgeoned by him, all to bring back this AntiChrist within you...

You son of a bitch. I knew it was you. What's the matter, D? Can't stand that I was winning without your smoke and mirrors?

D smirked, cackling a bit

Oh Taylor, you were doing so very well... which is what made me sick. Because for as well as you were doing, you SHOULD have been doing SO much better... there was barely ANY blood being spilled. And the Devil just isn't down with that, you know?

So why now? Why with Durten? I've already destroyed him countless times;

Which is EXACTLY why I had to restore the AntiChrist in you. You've grown bored with him. You simply do the minimum to beat him. Before, you'd drop him from the top of a cage... before, you'd smash him bloody with beer bottles and steel chairs. Now, you settle for that Fisherman's thing of yours and a clean pin. Where's the fun in that, Taylor?

He opened his mouth to protest, but felt that there was more to be said from his hellacious friend

Lemme answer that for you... there is NO fun in that. You've grown bored, and the only way to make this fun, is for you to search for blood. Come on, Dawk. You've got him in a Last Man Standing match; this is YOUR match. Remember what you've done in these? Remember Kendo?

The name shot through him like lightning. It had been just a little over a year now since Kendo was taken to the heavens, only a week or so following their brutal Last Man Standing bout. Tears welled up, and the chest heaved as he fought back the pain

Don't fight it, Taylor... EMBRACE it! I mean, it's not MY fault your little friend was too weak to live... it's not MY fault that one of your buddies was too FRAILE to cut it in this world... it's not MY--

He knew he couldn't win, but he lunged anyways, spearing D to the sidewalk

Shut your GOD DAMN MOUTH, you son of a BITCH! You think you can rattle me? You think I sweat you? D, you're nothing but SHIT... LOOK AT ME! You're lucky I don't slit your frickin throat on this damn street, and leave you to get stomped by the kickers here...

He laughed. Dawkins was slightly startled, blinking his eyes, and still, D laughed. He pushed Dawkins off him, and regained his footing

Now THAT'S more like it... Save this pent up fury, Dawkins... save the rage, save the hatred... and unleash it on Tyler Durten... HE, Dawkins, is the cause of every problem you've ever had. HE'S the reason you were jumped every day for being one of three white kids in your school. HE'S the reason your wife died on the table giving birth to your son. HE'S the reason Kendo was taken from you

D, I don't care what you do to me, but if you don't explain yourself, I'll do everything in my power to strike you down...

Simple, Taylor. Your God, he knew that down the road, you'd make a fortune in your career, and he knew that your biggest rival, he'd be nothing more than a cakewalk. So since you'd have no real suffering coming your way once you were on your own, he decided to hit you often while you were young. That's why you were assaulted daily in school... THAT'S why Lucia's blood wouldn't clot... and THAT'S why Kendo's... and Creed... that's why BOTH of them perished in the car accident... because once you got to this point, it'd be clear sailing from here on out... All you have to do later today, Taylor, is vanquish Durten... I can make it so that this match is the most difficult you've ever had; but I know that it'll be easier than even YOU can imagine. Because I know that YOU know what you have to do, and why you have to do it...

Dawkins eyed the cement, a tear spilling to the street. When he looked up, D wasn't there... he bit his lip, clenching his fists, before whispering to himself

Durten's the cause of every instance of pain and agony I've ever dealt with... Tonight, he'll get what he gave to me, and he'll get it ten times worse... Tyler Durten, wherever the hell you are, I apologize... I apologize not for what I've done to you, and not for what I'm GOING to do to you; because you DESERVE that. I apologize simply because I didn't do it any SOONER. I don't care about your father; I don't care about whether you think I'm pathetic or not; I don't care about you... FUCK YOU, Durten. You've sought for so long to gain acceptance... you've done everything humanly possible to stop me, to gain approval, and now... NOW you want to say that you don't give a shit about what people say about you? Ten minutes after whining about how many people underrate you? Don't worry, Durten... I'd never do that to you. But tonight in Houston, when I cradle your face in my hands... I'm going to look you in the eyes, and give you one last chance to apologize... but I know you, Durten, and you're too damn stupid to take that out. No, instead, you'll try to look brave in front of the masses, and that, Durten, is when I'll dig my thumbs into your eye sockets. And I won't stop when you scream for mercy; I won't stop when the ref screams for the bell; I won't stop when your little eyeballs pop like plastic bags full of water. Durten, tonight in Houston, I simply... won't... stop... isn't THAT just a pisser?

He fell to his knees, the force of something smashing into him was unlike anything he'd ever felt before. He looked up, and there was Durten, a two by four in his hand

I'll see you in hell, Dawk!

He raised the two by four high above his head... prior to being struck, Dawkins whispered

I'm already there...

He snapped awake, scaring the hell out of Levi. Levi laughed, shaking his head. He continued to read his newspaper, which was headlined

STAIND: STILL SUCKING AFTER ALL THESE MONTHS
